This new method of pipe repair works and is done almost the same way as the pipe relining method. The only difference in this process is that it does the coating in sections and not the whole pipe. This means that it only coats the interior of those areas that actually have holes, cracks and splits on them. Interior Pipe Coating method does not put much effort into coating the other parts that are alright. But, just like the pipe relining process, it seals off the cracked areas using an epoxy lining. This type of lining can stand and remain strong against damages for a very long time. It also adheres very well that it stays on for years.

  • Pulled-In-Place

This is one method for the pipe relining process. To do this, the contractor will need only two holes dug in the ground along the areas of the damaged pipe. The areas are basically determined by the use cameras throughout the process of initially inspecting the pipe. In preparing the liner, the epoxy mixture is poured to the liner while using rollers to distribute the epoxy equally. The liner is then inserted into the pipe together with the bladed pipe and positioned at the centre. The bladder is inflated to mould the shape while the liner is curing.

  • Cured-In-Place

Just like the PIPP, this method is also one of the variations of the pipe relining process. There might be some confusion with the two since their processes are closely related to one another. The cured-in-place pipe relining uses inversion chambers instead of bladder. This is the major difference between the two. Through the inversion chamber, the liner is turned inside out to make the adhering process easier. Then UV light is utilised to do the curing of the pipe liner. The lighting is simply dragged through the pipe by a monitored robot to get the curing process to even out.

  • Pipe Bursting

This is the pipe repair technique that suits pipe that are severely damaged and are beyond the capacities of pipe relining to fix. Basically, this new process destroys the old and damaged pipe while simultaneously replacing it with a new one. The main tools for this are the bursting equipment and the bursting heads. The tip of the equipment can be replaced by simply detaching it. This gives the homeowner free reign on the type of tool to fit the needs of the excavation. The first part is always the bursting head that is dragged through the pipe using a truck as the pulling force. Following that is a pipe replacement as to make the process unending and saving up in energy and effort since it will all only be pulled once.
